In this story it seems like the author is making the story slower by giving a lot of details and repeating words. he does a great work with the stting because is a caoomon setting in which we can relate to. the character in the story becomes obsses with the old mans eyes, thath seems to have catarat's and decides to kill him. then the remorse or something like that hit him when the officers comes to check the house. i think this is a good story because has a lot of deatil and helps you imagine it.

In the story the reader can play like an detective or a police. Why? becuase the main character is confessing us (the reader) that he commited a murder. He start by telling us that he killed an old man becuase he hates his eyes. Then he tell us step by step what he did to hide the murder and at the end the remorse of killing the old man makes him confess the murder to the police.
